Following Colin's lead here http://downamongthezedmen.blogspot.com/2010/11/progress-report-02.html about his Blogs Title Banner I decided to try the font out on my blog.
The font, Zombie Holocaust, can be found here http://www.deviantart.com/download/14654269/zombie_holocaust.zip
After importing the font into the Windows (Control Panel>Fonts) I opened MS Paint and proceeded to make the banner (did it the quick and easy way that took like 10 seconds to do). Saved it as a JPEG and then uploaded it to my blog. I might actually make a better banner using the Zombie Holocaust font and an image or two of some of my zombie and survivor minis.
Doug, I'm not sure if I should post this here or on Colin's blog but I'd like to thank you for your advice on how to install this most excellent font. I can now use it with any program that allows you to change the font, including Microsoft Word. Big thumbs up from me!
ReplyDeleteNow, don't take this the wrong way as I'm only trying to be helpful, but you're missing an apostrophe from your heading. It should be "Doug's" not Dougs."
Bryan,
ReplyDeleteI know but the Zombie Holocaust font is just letters, no numbers or punctuation, so had to do it as Dougs and not Doug's.
Ah, that explains it! My bad for not checking out the font closer.
ReplyDeleteHey Doug - looks good! Thanks for being there to help Bryan when I wasn't! and you were absolutely right about your supposition regarding how I created the banner - I did use MS Paint and save as a jpeg. You clever little Doug!
ReplyDeleteIf I get around to doing the banner I am thinking I will probably be using Adobe Photoshop for it since I am thinking of including a shot of one of my zombie figures and a shot of a survivor figure (one at each end of the Blogs title)
